Rosalie M. Bowen

Rosalie M. Bowen, 83, formerly of Allerton Avenue, East Providence, died peacefully on March 25, 2022 surrounded by her loving family at Dawn Hill Manor, Bristol.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Edward and Catherine (McDermott) Bowen, she was a lifelong resident of East Providence.

Ms. Bowen was a Senior Administrative Officer for the Rhode Island Department of Children, Youth and Families from 1991 until retiring in 1999. She worked as an Administrative Aide/Paralegal from 1983 - 1991 and was a Legislative Reference Librarian from 1969 - 1983. Rosalie was a graduate of Roger Williams College Class of 1985.

A beautiful woman who loved spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, adventures and living life to the fullest.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Susan Bowen, Ann McAree, Melisa Landry, Beth Bowen, Lisa Bowen, Gail Colello, Kara Bowen, Lynn Bowen, Paul Bowen, Jonathan Bowen, sister-in-law Arleene Bowen and several great nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Edward, John and William Bowen.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Luke Church, Washington Road, Barrington at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
