Raymond J. Cadoret Sr.

Raymond J. Cadoret Sr., 73, of Rumford, RI, passed away peacefully at home on November 3, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Raymond N. and Helen (Quinn) Cadoret.

Raymond was married to his loving wife, Jeanette (Palmieri) Cadoret, for 51 years.

Raymond graduated from the East Providence High School in 1965 and enlisted in the Rhode Island Army National Guard that same year. Raymond was commissioned as a 1st Lieutenant in 1968 and graduated from flight school in 1971. During his 34 years of service, Raymond served in multiple positions within the RI Army National Guard, to include positions with aviation, artillery, engineers, military police, department of logistics, and headquarters. Raymond retired at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Raymond was also an avid golfer and enjoyed bowling with the RI National Guard Bowling League.

Raymond is survived by his sons, Raymond J. Cadoret Jr. and his wife Ann of Smithfield, Mark S. Cadoret and his wife Alyssa of East Providence, and Stephen M. Cadoret and his wife Kara of South Kingstown, as well as his grandchildren, Nicholas, Victoria, Jordan, Hayden, Gavin, Bella, and Morgan John.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 9, 2020, at St. Martha’s Church, 2595 Pawtucket Avenue in East Providence. Burial with Military Honors will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org.
