Manuel S. Silva, 81, formerly of Leonard Avenue, East Providence passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, August 12, 2023.

Born in Albergaria-A-Velha, Portugal he was the son of the late Jose Marques daSilva and Lucia ( Santiago) daSilva. Mr. Silva was an electronics technician at Sears for over 42 years before he retired. He was very mechanically inclined and he could fix anything. He was known to many as "Manny the TV Man". He was an active member of St. Martha's Church and was involved in many church activities and also organizations within the Portuguese community.

He leaves two children, Manuel G. Silva and his wife Amy of Winter Garden, Florida and Catarina G. Went and her husband Eric of North Kingstown, five grandchildren, Connor, Daniela, Olivia, Christina and Nolan and one brother, Antonio Silva of Riverside. He was the brother of the late Valdomar Silva.

His funeral and visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at 9:00 AM in the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a service to follow at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
