Joseph A. "Archie" Cinq-Mars, 93, of East Providence passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at Eastgate Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, East Providence. He was the husband of the late Pearl T. (Goodall) Cinq-Mars.

Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late Wilfrid and Alicia (Gregoire) Cinq-Mars, he had lived in Pawtucket for 24 years and Barrington for 5 years before moving to East Providence 16 years ago.

Mr. Cinq-Mars was a cold heading operator for Pawtucket Screw Company before retiring. He previously worked for Pilgrim Screw Company and Unimetric, both in Providence.

He was a member and Past Master of Mount Moriah Lodge #8, F. & A.M., Lincoln, a member of the Scottish Rite, Valley of Providence, and the Masonic Veterans Association.

Archie served in the United States Navy during World War II and the United States Army during the Korean War.

He is survived by one daughter, Phyllis Choquette and her husband Richard of Riverside; one sister, Arlene Dube of Florida; one brother, Ernest Cinq-Mars of Waterville, ME; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late John W. Cinq-Mars, and the brother of the late Emma Raiche, Lucille Thibault, Jeannette Breault, Robert Cinq-Mars, Omer Cinq-Mars and Jean-Pierre Cinq-Mars.

His funeral will be held Wednesday, July 7 at 11 A.M. at Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln. His burial, with military honors, will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, North Attleboro, MA.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call Tuesday 5-7 P.M. A Masonic Memorial Service will be held Tuesday at 6:30 P.M. at the Funeral Chapel.
