Joan A. McClarnon

Joan A. McClarnon, 86, of East Providence, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, June 9, 2022. She was the wife of the late Donald R. McClarnon.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Joseph, and Delia (Burke) O’Keefe. Mrs. McClarnon worked as a clerk for New England Telephone and was a member of IBEW Local 2323 for 27 years until she retired. She was an avid painter, and loved her dogs.

She leaves two daughters, Daria J. Emma and her husband James of St. Petersburg, FL, Leah M. Miranda of Martha’s Vineyard, one son, Brian E. McClarnon and his wife Maria Zambarano of Rehoboth, two grandchildren, Evan Sosa, Brianna Sosa, one sister, Kathleen Burnstingle of Warwick. She was the sister of the late, Thomas O’Keefe, Michael O’Keefe, and Joseph O’Keefe.

Her funeral will be held on Monday, June 13, 2022, at 9:00 AM from the PERRY-MCSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Saint Margaret's Church, 1098 Pawtucket Avenue, Rumford. Burial will be in Rhode Island Veteran’s Cemetery, Exeter, RI. Calling hours are Sunday 4-6.
