Helen Rita Conlon, 96, of Warren, formerly of East Providence, passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2022, having spent her final days in the company of family. She was the wife of the late James E. Conlon.

Born in Cambridge, MA she was the daughter of the late James and Lillian (Provost) Bulger. Mrs. Conlon attended St. James High School and Burdett College in Boston. She was an executive secretary to the corporate director of Edward’s & Angell until she retired in 1984, having previously worked as a legal secretary and executive assistant at firms in Providence and Boston. Mrs. Conlon was a faithful communicant of St. Martha’s Church in East Providence, a past member of St. Martha’s Rosary & Altar Society, and a Cub Scout den mother. Mrs. Conlon and her husband were very active in the Christian Family Movement and celebrated their 50th anniversary renewing their vows in the parish. She also taught C.C.D, visited the sick, and was a Eucharistic Minister to Rhode Island Hospital patients. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and in the words of many, the favorite aunt who will be dearly missed.

She leaves two sons, Timothy J. Conlon (and wife Cynthia) of North Kingstown, and Kevin M. Conlon (and wife Melinda) of Warren, five grandchildren, Catherine E Williams, and her Husband Lavar of Lincoln, Colleen L. Ellwanger, and her Husband Donald of Lincoln, Michael K. Conlon and his wife Kate of Warren, Melissa M. Conlon and her partner Brian Simas from Newport, Kimberly M Conlon and her fiancé Andrew Canario from Warren, four great-grandchildren, Morgan Williams of Lincoln, Olivia Ellwanger of Lincoln, Gabriel Ellwanger of Lincoln, and Jaxon Michael Conlon of Warren. She was the sister of the late Marjorie Bulger and James Bulger.

Her funeral and visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM, in the PERRY-MCSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Saint Martha’s Church, Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence. Burial will be held in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
