Gail G. (McNeil) Sharp

Gail G. (McNeil) Sharp 85 of Rumford, passed away on Wednesday August 10, 2022 at home , surrounded by her family.

She was the wife of the late Donn Byron Sharp.

Gail was born in Providence, the daughter of the late Joseph and Olive (McClaren) McNeil.

Mrs. Sharp was a bookkeeper for many local businesses for many years.

She has lived in Rumford since 1980 coming from Riverside, and previously Cranston.

Gail was a parishioner of St. Margaret Church in Rumford; she previously went to St. Brendan Church.

Gail was a member of the Women’s initiative; she was a cub scout leader when her children were young.

She was a member of the PTA, a member of the Rumford Book Club.

She also enjoyed gardening and especially her roses.

Her and her husband loved to travel. Gail had some longtime friends, who were friends since they were very young, and kept in contact with all these years.

Mrs. Sharp is survived by her children, Glenn Sharp of Oregon, Robert Sharp of the Philippines, Andrew Sharp of Maine, David Sharp of Coventry, Debra Cardosa of West Greenwich, and Judy Perry of Rumford.

She was the sister of Janet Pine of Bristol.

Mrs. sharp was the grandmother of 13 and the great grandmother of 25, she is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Gail was the sister of the late Dennis McNeil and the late Joseph McNeil.

Her funeral services are private.
