Ernesto G. DeMeneses

Ernesto G. DeMeneses, 72, of Grosvenor Ave, East Providence, RI, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2022, at home, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Terceira, Azores, he was the husband of Maria D. (Viveiros) DeMeneses, and the son of the late Ernest and Rosa (Goncalves) DeMeneses/Marshall.

Besides his wife of 50 years, he leaves one Son, Ernest M. DeMeneses (and wife Sandra) and one Granddaughter, Sabrina M. DeMeneses of East Providence, RI and two Brothers, Humberto DeMeneses (and wife Connie) of Rehoboth, MA, Joseph Marshall of East Providence, RI, several cousins, nieces/nephews, brother/sister-in-laws in the USA and Azores.

Mr. DeMeneses was a Master Scheduler for American Insulated Wire for 36 years and then worked for RI Hospital in Environmental Services for four years. He was an active member of Sacred Heart Church, Phillips Street Hall (HGGB) and the original EP Portuguese School. Mr. DeMeneses was also an avid Soccer fan, especially Sporting Clube de Portugal.

His Funeral will be held Monday, August 29, 2022, at 7:30am from the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, 901 Broadway, East Providence, RI, to be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00am at Sacred Heart Church, 118 Taunton Ave, East Providence, RI. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Wampanoag Trail, Riverside, RI. Calling Hours will be held Sunday from 3:00-6:00pm in the Funeral home.
