Donald W. Carlson 81, of Riverside, RI passed away June 4th, 2022 after a lengthy illness.

Born in Providence, RI to Walter and Ruth (Paine) Carlson, Don lived in Riverside, RI his entire life.

He spent his entire 30 + year career working for Kallaher Oil Co., a division of Texaco.

Don loved Duck Pin Bowling, Golf, Baseball, Basketball and Football, especially his NE Patriots. Don and Linda were known to throw one heck of a Superbowl Party. Don was a true Townie through and through. He ran his class reunion and was a long time East Providence Hall of Fame Committee Member. He considered his time with friends among his most cherished memories. Don was also known as Mr. Beach. He and Linda could be found on the shores of Cape Cod, MA and Newport, RI, where they enjoyed spending time together with family and friends. Don was the ultimate family man, whether it was the Christmas Eve gathering or Friday night cocktail hour. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, grand children and great grand children.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years Linda (Megathlin) Carlson. Son Paul (Daryl) Carlson, Daughter Kristin (Michael) Buckett, daughter Amy (Brian) Kelly. Six grandchildren: Sydney Carlson (Leah), William Carlson (Vanessa), Kaleigh Buckett (William), Kelsey Labbe (Shaun), Shelby Buckett (Phil) and Ashley McShane (Josh). Five Great grandchildren: William and Michael McMahon, Jackson Haley, Jameson & Jacob McShane. He also leaves his brother Robert Carlson of Eastham, MA and many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held in the Smith-Mason Funeral Home 398 Willett Ave Riverside, RI 02915 at 11:00 AM Friday June 10, 2022 with calling hours prior from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Little Neck Cemetery, Reed Street, Riverside, RI.
