Barbara E. Loomis

Barbara E. Loomis, 101, of Warren and formerly of Bay View Avenue, East Providence passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at her home. She was the wife of the late George E. Loomis and the late Capt. Lewis B. Arnold.

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Jerdine and Mary (Powell) Waller. Mrs. Loomis was a member of the Riverside Barons Auxiliary, Unity Chapter of the Eastern Star, Riverside and also a long time member of Hope Congregational Church. She enjoyed traveling around the country with her late husband "Bud" in their Winnebago and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She leaves two children, Lewis B. Arnold and his wife Susan and Barbara J. Caniglia, with whom she made her home, four grandchildren, Scott P. Cary, John B. Arnold and his wife Jill, Joel A. Cary and his wife Amy and Melissa B. Rigamonti and her husband Christian, nine great grandchildren, Ava, Ryan, William, Liam, Luca, Catherine, Reece, Benjamin and Tessa, one sister-in-law, Barbara Gibb and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Ruth Osterlund, George Waller and Eleanor Gilman.

Her funeral service and visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a service to follow at 12:00 PM.
