Audubon Society of Rhode Island 2021 Calendar

Call for Bird Photography Submissions - Deadline September 15, 2020

Posted

Like so many of us, Audubon is looking ahead to next year. Specifically, we are looking for outstanding bird photographs for use in the Audubon 2021 calendar. Are you a local photographer with some great birding images? Please consider submitting them!

Each year, Audubon produces a nature calendar of bird photographs taken in Rhode Island. The images may have been taken in 2020, or pulled from any past year or season. In fact, seasonal images taken in a variety of habitats around the State are encouraged.

A committee of experts will judge the entries to select the photographs to be included, and the calendar will be ready for distribution in time for 2021. It will be sold online and in the Audubon Nature Shop in Bristol, RI.

For further details and to submit photos, visit https://asri.org/audubon-calendar.html. Deadline for entry is midnight on September 15, 2020.

Photographs that are submitted for inclusion should be bright, high resolution, with a single bird or multiple birds in the photo. Horizontal format is best.

Submission details:
1. The photo must be high res, at least 8”x10”, 300 dpi. Horizontal images are work best.
2. Please submit bird images only.
3. Each photographer is limited to two photo submissions.
4. Photographers will receive photo credit.
5. The photo must have been taken in Rhode Island, and the location must be given with the submission.
6. Remember that we are looking for one photo for each month of the year. Seasonal images are welcome and needed - birds in snow, with fall foliage, etc. Wild birds only (no Raptor Weekend photos please).
7. Audubon Society of Rhode Island may use submitted photographs in their calendar, publications, brochures, leaflets, catalogs, advertising, the Audubon websites, social media and used to promote programs and events to the press without limitation or reservation, or any compensation.
8. Use this link to submit your photo.
9. The deadline for submissions is midnight, September 15, 2020.
10. Selected photographers will receive a copy of the 2021 calendar.

Audubon will notify photographers whose images have been selected by November 1st.
