Ed and Naomi Ketz of Riverside recognized and honored by the Worldwide Marriage Encounter Organization

Ed and Naomi Ketz of Riverside were recently recognized and honored by the Worldwide Marriage Encounter organization as the longest married couple in the entire state of Rhode Island. Representatives of the organization, along with the Diocese of Providence, presented Ed and Naomi with their certificate, a letter from Bishop Tobin, and a copy of the U.S. Congressional Record commemorating the announcement. Brian Faria, Councilman for Ward 4 of East Providence, presented the couple with a proclamation from the city. Ed is 92 years old and Naomi is 87 and have lived in the same location in Riverside since 1959.

    I would like to sincerely express my overwhelming gratitude to Worldwide Marriage Encounter, The Reporter, The State Senate of Rhode Island and Senator Cynthia Coyne, Bishop Tobin and the Diocese of Providence, Brian Faria and East Providence City Council for their consideration and honoring my Mom and Dad. They have set a wonderful example to all and are truly deserving. I always knew I had the best hometown in America. All of you have proved it to the bottom of my heart! Thank you. Yea Townies!
