Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council Greystone Mill Pond Paddle: September 10, 2017: 1:00 pm Launch

Posted

Greystone Mill Pond is on the border of Johnston, North Providence and Smithfield. This section of the Woony is smooth and quiet, which makes for easy paddling. The pond is narrow and winding with many wetlands. We begin at Cricket Field in Johnston and paddle up the pond for about 5/8 mile and return. We often see ducks, herons and other birds on this paddle!
The Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council (WRWC) provides canoes, kayaks, paddles and life jackets, or paddlers can bring their own boats. Contact Paddle Leader, Erik Talley at etalley@wrwc.org or (401) 481-1376 if you have questions. Advance sign-up is required.
If you are using one of our solo kayaks the price is $35/person. Two-person canoes are $25/person ($15/person for extra passengers). If you're bringing your own boat the price is $15/person.
If you are bringing your own boat please remember to bring a life jacket for everyone who will be in your boat.
