When Grief is Complicated – An Educational Program at Community VNA

Posted

On Monday, September 25th, Community VNA hosts When Grief is Complicated, a Hospice Foundation of America (HFA) DVD Living With Grief® program. This award winning presentation provides an opportunity for a wide variety of professionals to share and exchange ideas and obtain continuing education credits and is practical for all levels of professions – entry level, intermediate or advanced.

The information provided by the expert panel via DVD will be useful to health care clinicians, social service clinicians and others working in the hospice, palliative care, counseling, hospital, nursing home, funeral home or faith community environments. These experienced professionals will discuss the nature of complicated grief, which is a significant deviation from the typical grieving process, and how it can result in additional complications and dangers. This includes identifying the patterns associated with complicated grief as well as different approaches to treating it. For full program details, see HFA’s website at www.hospicefoundation.org or contact Community VNA at 800.220.0110.

There is no charge to attend this program. Continuing education credits of 2.5 hours are provided by HFA at a cost of $21. A Certificate of Attendance is available at no cost.
Presentation will be shown at Community VNA, 10 Emory St., Attleboro MA from 1:30pm to 4:30pm. Pre-registration is required. Please call 774.203.1306 or email register@communityvna.com
