Walter Kurbiec

Walter Kurbiec, 66, of Rehoboth, passed away at his home on Friday, June 9, 2017.

Born on May 19, 1951 in Providence, he was the son of the late Walter Vincent Kurbiec and the late Dorothy Ann (Meagher) Kurbiec.

A graduate of Dighton-Rehoboth Regional High School, Class of 1969, he had worked for many years as a machine operator for Automatic Machine Company in Attleboro.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, spending time in his yard, visiting Vermont and Maine, and attending tractor shows. He was a member of the National Rifle Association. More than anything, Walter cherished spending time with his family and his treasured granddaughters, and he will be sorely missed.

Walter is survived by his beloved daughters: Tammy (Kurbiec) Engel of Woonsocket, R.I., and Donna (Kurbiec) Meyer of Attleboro; and two adoring granddaughters. He was the brother of Thomas Kurbiec of Rehoboth, James Kurbiec of Port St. Lucie, Fla., and Dorothy (Kurbiec) Gardner of Dublin, Ohio. He leaves three nieces and nephews, his extended family, and many dear friends. He was the former husband of Sandra Rita Mercier.
