Volunteer Sought for Facilities Study Committee

Posted

The Rehoboth Board of Selectmen are seeking a town resident to serve on the Dighton-Rehoboth school committee’s Facilities Study Committee.

The committee, which will review the 2019 NESDEC (New England School Development Council) report, will be made up of town school committee members, members of the school department and administration, and representatives from Dighton and Rehoboth.

The first meeting is scheduled for January 23. The public forums are “to be a method of strengthening school/community partnerships by sharing data and soliciting a wide variety of citizen input, opinions, and feedback,” explained selectmen chairman Gerry Schwall.

Selectman Jim Muri said an applicant with a financial or construction background would be ideal for the committee.

Anyone who is interested can visit town hall at 100 Peck Street and fill out a talent bank form. Selectmen may make an appointment at their January 13 meeting.
