Aaron Regungerg for Lt. Governor

There is a political race this year that dramatically differentiates two candidates running against each other. They are both Democrats, so the election that counts is the Primary on Wednesday, September 12th. We will have a real choice.

Aaron Regunberg, a young State Representative from Providence, has decided to run for Lt. Governor because he believes we have to shake up the status quo. The priorities of Rhode Islanders must always be front and center in government, not the interests of corporate lobbyists and political insiders. The incumbent is part of an entrenched bunch of politicians that have not served our State well. Aaron has consistently fought for the working middle class in Rhode Island. He has fought for and is responsible for: raising Rhode Island’s minimum wage (his bill passed!), paid sick days for all workers (his bill passed!) protecting a women’s’ right to choose, and obtaining Universal Health Care.

He has fought for common sense gun laws. Today, anyone who walks into a gun show at a hall/hotel, can purchase a gun without a background check. Today, anyone 18 years old can legally buy an assault weapon - guns that are made to kill. Today, anyone can buy a bump-stock over the internet – a part specifically for making a semi-automatic weapon into a fully automatic weapon – used by the Los Vegas shooter. Aaron has introduced and supported bills in the House of Representatives to address all these issues. Aaron believes in common sense gun laws-not potentially deadly ones.

State Representative, Aaron Regunberg, does not believe corporate lobbyists should be allowed to donate huge sums to politicians. He has pledged to take no donation from corporations. As your Lt. Governor, he will introduce legislation to do away with this entrenched political way of doing business. He will open the doors of government to the sunlight and will be clearly accountable for his actions. We need to start electing young energetic people who will fight for open government. We need to elect Aaron Regungerg for Lt. Governor.
