Thomas Patrick Lewis passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 2, 2019, at the age of 42. The eighth of nine children, he was the son of Warren E. and Barbara (O’Garr) Lewis of Riverside, RI. A graduate of La Salle Academy in Providence, Tommy earned his Bachelor’s degree in finance from Salve Regina University in 2000 where he played football for the Seahawks. He was a licensed banker for Citizens Bank.

Tommy will always be remembered for the twinkle in his eye, his winning smile and above all, his heart of gold. Loving uncle to eleven adoring nieces and nephews, he was their consummate fan, always at the rink or field cheering them on and praising them after, win or lose.

He will be forever loved and remembered as a devoted son and as loving brother to Susan (Lewis) Belliveau and her husband Norman (Bristol, RI), Warren Lewis and his wife Carol (Westwood, MA), Anne (Lewis) Whittum and her husband Scott (East Providence, RI), John Lewis (Barrington, RI), Jane Lewis and her partner Dawn Beauvais (Rumford, RI), William Lewis (Providence, RI), Kristen (Lewis) Morales and her husband Mario (Seekonk, MA), and Tricia (Lewis) Hadfield and her husband Kevin (Barrington, RI).

His funeral will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at 9:00 AM from the Perry-McStay Funeral Home, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Brendan’s Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours Tuesday 4-8. In lieu of flowers contributions to LaSalle Academy, 612 Academy Avenue, Providence, RI 02908 would be appreciated.
