Posted

Terry Ann (Davey) Simoes, 55, of East Providence passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 surrounded by family. Terry is now where she needs to be and no longer in pain. God received her into the arms of her beloved husband, Joseph Simoes, Jr. She was born in Providence to Brenda L. (Colaneri) and James R. Davey of Rumford.

Terry was known for her sarcastic sense of humor. She was also an avid reader of romance novels, loved going to the movies, playing piano, and going to Disney World. She especially enjoyed her childhood on South Broadway in East Providence and always said it was ‘The Best.’ Some of Terry’s fondest memories were of Christmas Eve gatherings with extended family. Terry graduated Salve Regina University with a Bachelor's Degree.

Let us not forget the precious moments spent with three friends that she loved dearly --- Brenda, Bonnie, and Kerri. Greatly appreciated by her parents and siblings was the time spent by loved ones while she was healing.

She leaves behind her sister Denise Eliasz and her partner Henry Pili of Cranston and her brother James R. Davey, III and his wife Deborah of Riverside. She also leaves behind two loved nephews, James IV and Alex Davey.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 from 10:00 am-12:00 pm in the Smith-Mason Funeral Home, 398 Willett Avenue, Riverside, RI. A Funeral service will immediately follow in the Smith-Mason Funeral Home. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to a charity of your choice in Terry's memory.
