Stephen Richard Ricard II

Stephen Richard Ricard II, age 44, of East Providence, passed away on March 11, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones.

Stephen, the son of Stephen and Kathleen A. Ricard of Johnston, was born in Smithfield and grew up in Johnston. He was known to his family and friends as Steve, Stevie, Dad, Brother, Uncle Monkey, Ricky, Red, and Junior.

He graduated from Johnston High School, Class of 1996 and attended the University of Rhode Island. He was a skilled chef and made cooking his life work as well as his passion.

Steve’s greatest joy in life were his two children, Nicholas Stephen and Mikayla Kathleen. He also loved his family, friends, and various animals.

Besides his parents, Stephen is survived by his children, Nicholas S. Ricard and Mikayla K. Ricard; their mother Kristen A. Ricard; his sister Kristina L. Ricard and her partner Darjusz A. Wiaderski; his niece Mila G. Wiaderski; his paternal grandmother Elizabeth Ricard; and many uncles, aunts and cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Lawrence A. Grace III and Lucy R. Grace and paternal grandfather, Leander B. Ricard.

His visitation will be held Monday, March 20th from 9:30-11:00 a.m. in the Pontarelli-Marino Home, 971 Branch Ave, Providence followed by a service in the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
