Snowfall Affects Scholarships

Scholarship Foundation of East Providence’s annual spring phone-a-thon was delayed this year because of the March snowstorm. Due to the change in date, a reduced core of volunteers made calls to city residents, but was unable to reach as many as usual.

Follow up letters have been sent out. Don’t let Mother Nature impact this event that helps East Providence students. Even if you were not called this year, you can still make a contribution to the scholarship fund through the phone-a-thon. Make your check made payable to SF of East Providence and mail to P.O. Box 154438, Riverside, RI 02915. The first $45,000 in donations made at this time will be doubled by The Carter Fund.
