Riverside Boys Basketball Playing for Division Title Thursday

Undefeated RMS taking on a strong UCAP for Title. State Playoffs are next.

The undefeated Riverside Middle School boys’ basketball team is on a roll after a 75-55 win over Warwick Vets this week. “Our boys completed a perfect home regular season with the victory over Warwick Vets. We were led by Trey Rezendes' 29, Xavier Hazard's 21, and Skyller Garcia's 13 points,” said head coach Scott Breault.

Others getting in the scoring column were Andrew Espada with 8 points, and 4 points from Kenaz Ochogwu. “Domenic Miatao had numerous rebounds and Cameron Evora played tough defense for us,” added Breault.

Earlier RMS beat Feinstein (9-2) 82-37 to improve to 11-0 on the season. RMS used their size and speed to dominate. "The team was lead by their 3 captains, Kenaz Ochogwu (14 points) Trey Rezendes (16 points and 10 assist) and Xavier Hazard (18 points). Others getting in the scoring column were Eddie Turay and Joseph Chaves (8 points each), Skyller Garia (7 points), Darius Davis (4 points), Elijah McNair, Cameron Evora, Andrew Espada, Domenic Maiato, Davien Jean-Rene (2 points each)," offered Coach Breault.

Riverside wraps up the regular season Thursday, January 30th at Urban Collaborative with the division championship on the line. UCAP has only one loss so far. The state championship playoffs will be next after the Division title.
