“Adults Only” Night at Rhode Island Museum of Science & Art!

When: Saturday, February 8th, 7:30-10:30pm
Where: Rhode Island Museum of Science & Art (RIMOSA), 763 Westminster Street,
Providence, RI 02903
Admission $15 per person (includes 1 drink ticket)

Why should kids have all the fun? After the roaring success of their first “adults only” event, the Rhode Island Museum of Science & Art (RIMOSA) will host another, adults only (21+) RIMOSA After Dark on Saturday, February 8th!

This event encourages adults to tap into their creative side – so come play, create, mix and mingle with snacks, beer/wine and live music. Those who are interested can participate in creative “Chop Design Challenges”.

Named after the Food Network series “Chopped”, these challenges will present participants with identical materials and the directive to use all of the materials provided while completing a task. One RIMOSA Chop Design Challenge will involve building a tiny catapult, while the other will involve crating a marble roller coaster.

Live music will be provided by local musicians; The Vox Hunters. For more information of The Vox Hunters and a sample of their museum, visit them at thevoxhunters.com.

Admission is $15 and includes 1 drink ticket, while additional tickets can be won by participating in activities. All proceeds go to supporting RIMOSA’s mission.

Parking is available in our lot located behind RIMOSA (accessible from Dean Street) as well as metered street parking. There is also a bus stop just 2 blocks away – at the Cranston/Westminster stop on the Plainfield/Westminster route.

RIMOSA’s mission is to kindle curiosity and encourage experimentation. RIMOSA offers on-site as well as outreach STEAM programming throughout the state of RI. The museum maintains a physical space for multi-generational learners to explore, experiment, and create together in a supportive and fun environment.
