Riccardo “Rocky” Roccabello

Riccardo “Rocky” Roccabello, 66, a longtime resident of Riverside, passed away on October 4, 2017. He is survived by his wife Janet M. (Miller) Roccacello to whom he was married for 45 years. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Louis and Lydia (Cardoza) Roccabello. Rocky proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and graduated OCS, as a First Lieutenant in the Army reserves. He retired as a Letter Carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. He was a past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, East Providence Council 1528. He also served as a volunteer at the Miriam Hospital. He loved golfing and his time with the guys at the club. Most of all, he was a loving and wonderful husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He had a love of life and a gigantic personality. Besides his wife he leaves two sons, Riccardo Roccabello and his wife Kelly of Attleboro and John Roccabello of East Providence, four grandchildren, Zosia, Hope, Giovanni and Enzo and one brother, Lou Roccabello and his wife Lisa of Bristol and many dear friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday October 21, 2017 at 10:00 AM in Saint Xavier Church, 81 North Carpenter Street, East Providence. A Celebration of His Life will be held following the Mass at the Knights of Columbus, 3200 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence.
