Posted

September 15 at Weaver Library

The Rhode Island Rose Society will hold its September meeting at Weaver Library in East Providence on September 15, 2018 at 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM. The program is free and opened to the public. This meeting will feature Jarred Lynch, owner of Blackstone Bees, who will present a program about the importance of bees. He will tell the story of bees -- how they live, pollinate flowers and make honey. Mr. Lynch maintains beehives in various locations throughout Rhode Island and will also explain how honey is harvested.

Join the RI Rose Society to learn about the importance of bees and how roses are great pollinators. Following the lecture, American Rose Society Consulting Rosarians will be available to answer questions about growing roses.
