Renaud J. Cote, 88, passed away peacefully at home with family by his side on Palm Sunday, March 24, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Anne-Marie (Codere) Cote for sixty-nine loving years. Born in St. Guy, P.Q., Canada, he was a son of the late Arthur and Elodie (Lacombe) Cote.

Renaud worked for many years in construction and was a member of Union Local 95, until his retirement. He enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. Renaud also had two passions in life, the first being music. He had an innate ability to play any stringed instruments beautifully, by ear, and the second was fishing, this was a pastime that Renaud very much loved. Above all, he was a devoted and loving husband, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Renaud will be lovingly remembered by all whose lives he touched over the past eighty-eight years.

Besides his loving wife, he leaves four children, Lynda A. Renaud and her husband, Joseph of Johnston, Andre R. Cote of East Providence, Daniel G. Cote and his wife, Jodi, of Odenton, Maryland, and Lucie L. Contente and her husband, Victor, of Cranston; four siblings, Gerard Cote, Armand Cote, Fernand Cote and Pierrette Vallee and her husband, Guy; eleven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Paul Cote, Mariette Tomer, Annette Blais, Albert Cote, Marcel Cote and Yvette Petrin.

VISITATION will be held on Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Noon in St. Teresa Church, 358 Newport Ave., Pawtucket. Interment will follow at Mount Saint Mary Cemetery.
