Pedro P. Vales, 79, passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. He was born in Brava, Cape Verde Islands a son of the late Joao and Ida (Pina) Vale. Mr. Vales was a Merchant Marine for Exxon Mobile before he retired. He was a member of the Exxon Club and the Ideal Club. He leaves six children, Niceia V. Duarte, Pedro Samol, Robin M. Gay, Peter J. Vale and his wife Dorinda, Jeffrey D. Vale and his wife Sandy and Jennifer M. Vale, one sister, Maria Barros, one sister in law, Palmira DoVale, 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Jose DoVale and Carlota Vale. His funeral will be held on Thursday at 9:00 AM from the Perry-McStay Funeral Home, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Brendan’s Church, Turner Avenue. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours Wednesday 4-8.
