Weekly Storytimes - September 20 through November 30, 2017
Registration is not required. Half hour storytimes include stories, songs, crafts, and other activities.

Leaf Lantern Craft @Riverside Branch Library
Wednesday, October 10, 3:30-4:30pm
Use glue and leaves to make a beautiful fall lantern to light up your room. For ages 6-9. Registration is required. Call 401-433-4877.

Mystery Play Performace @Riverside Branch Library
Saturday, October 13, 1:30pm
All ages are invited to see this short play performed by teens from Rumford Dance Theatre. The play is based on the board game Clue, and the audience will get to guess “who did it” based on the clues given.

Halloween Bookmark Craft @Weaver Library
Tuesday, October 16, 3:30-4:30pm
Use craft sticks to create a special Halloween bookmark. For all ages.

Rock Painting With Riverside Rocks @Riverside Branch Library
Saturdays, October 20 & November 17, 10:30-12:00
All supplies are provided to paint a rock for the “Riverside Rocks” project. Painted rocks are being hidden all over the city to spread kindness and smiles. All ages are welcome. Take your rock with you for future hiding.

Halloween BINGO @Riverside Branch Library
Wednesday, October 24, 3:30-4:30pm
Win books and other prizes! For all ages.

Sit Stay Read @Weaver Library
Reading aloud to therapy dogs can help children who struggle with reading.

Mondays, October 29, November 26, 5:30-7:30
Danny will wear his Halloween costume on October 29th, and kids are encouraged to wear one too. Call 435-2453 to schedule a 15 minute session.

Halloween Movie –@Weaver Library
Tuesday, October 30, 3:30-4:30pm
Bring your own movie snacks with you to watch Curious George: a Halloween Boo Fest. (2013, 58 min., not rated). All ages welcome.

Reading Buddies
The library matches volunteers, ages 13-adult, with elementary school children to read together for one hour each week at the library. For more information, call or stop into the Weaver Library (434-2453).

$$$ Read Down Your Fines $$$
Kids 16 and younger can “pay” their overdue fines by reading in the library. Just tell a librarian before you start reading, and when you finish reading, and we will waive $1 for every 30 minutes of reading.

Check out our website to interact with a live tutor. TUTOR.COM tutors can help you with homework, studying for an exam, or understanding today’s lesson. Math, Science, Social Studies, and English – all levels including AP. TUTOR.COM tutors are available every day from 2:00 pm-10:00 pm with an East Providence library card.
