Michael G. Finnerty, 63, of East Providence, passed away on Wednesday August 9, 2023.

Born in Providence, RI. He was a son of the late John T. Finnerty and Helen R. (Wood) Conway. Michael was a welder until his health no longer permitted him to do so. Mick enjoyed fishing, cooking, his huge vegetable garden, rock, and roll music, singing karaoke, going to the gym, and spending time with family and good friends.

He leaves two brothers, John T Finnerty (Jack) of Providence, Kevin J Finnerty and his wife Angela of West Warwick. He leaves five sisters, Shawn K Finnerty and James Ferns of Cranston, Karin L DiPietro of East Providence, Maureen H Faella and her husband Paul of East Providence, Kerri A Conway and Shane Lawhorne of Warwick, and Kristin L Conway of Warwick. He leaves behind a large extended family and several dear, lifelong friends. He was the uncle of the late Lauren M Finnerty, and loving uncle to Cory, Kaitlyn, Nicholas, and Rachel.

Calling hours will be on Saturday, August 19, 2023 from 12 P.M. to 2pm, in the PERRY-MCSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket, Avenue, East Providence, RI. Burial will be private.
