Paint Workshop For Adults

Rebecca Killian of Mermaid Masterpieces will teach participants how to paint a specific painting on canvas using step by step instructions. She will break the painting down into simple steps and she also encourages "freestyling" once comfortable. Everyone walks away with their own masterpiece, a new skill, and most importantly confidence! Space is limited, registration is required. Call 433-4877 to register.

Companion Planting

URI Master Gardener, Betsy Polhemus, will discuss ideas for planting combinations of vegetables and flowers in the hope of increasing flavor, optimizing land use, minimizing need for fertilizer, repelling harmful insect and attracting beneficial insects. Ms Polhemus has been a Master Gardener since 2011. She participates in the vegetable garden in Roger Williams Park, the vegetable and flower seed distribution program, the soil testing program, and the Speakers Bureau. Free and open to all, no registration required.

Guided Imagery Meditation

Guided Imagery Meditation is designed to help increase relaxation by creating joyful, positive images in the mind. This meditation will include relaxation techniques, breath work, and a guided imagery journey. We ask that you come comfortable. No prior meditation experience is necessary. If you prefer to meditate laying down, please bring a mat, blanket and/or pillow. This meditation will be lead by Gladys Ellen. She is the owner of Heavenly Hugs, a holistic health practice located in East Providence, RI. Free and open to all, no registration required.
