Mary F. Waldron-Mello, of Riverside, passed away on Friday, August 30, 2019 at Miriam Hospital, surrounded by her family. Mary, or Sissy as she fondly known by close friends and family was the oldest girl born to Mary F. (Elderkin) Waldron and the late Charles E. Waldron, both of East Providnce. She completed and graduated with a Masters in phycology from Rhode Island Collage, and was the owner of East Bay Family Counseling Center.

Mary dedicated her life to helping others, and was very proud of her work and practice. She was also fiercely protective of her family, and would was never absent from a birthday, or family gathering. She was a pillar in her community, and will be remembered for her tenacity and strength for standing up for what was right for her clients. Along with her undying love and devotion to all the members of her family.

Mary is survived by her daughter Margaret Thomas and granddaughter Aaliyah Haylie Thomas. Along with her mother Mary (Elderkin) Waldron, sister Claudia A. Cerina, brother Darrell Waldron, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father Charles E Waldron, husband Joseph Mellow and two brothers Charles E. Waldron Jr and Oscar H. Waldron.

A funeral service will be held at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick on Wednesday, September 4 at 11 AM. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 AM. Burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence will be private.
