Little Pictures 2019 Opening

Posted

Join the Providence Art Club for the opening of the largest, oldest, and best exhibition and sale of little pictures in the United States!

This exhibition opens Sunday, November 10 from 12-5pm and continues daily through December 23rd. The Galleries of the Providence Art Club are always free and open to the public.

Little Pictures is a time-honored tradition featuring over 120 individual artists working in a wide range of media from paintings and photographs to prints, ceramics, glass, and jewelry. All the works on view in this show are no larger than 16" x 16" and priced at $300 or less. There is no sales tax on art in the State of Rhode Island. All works are sold "cash and carry", so once a piece is purchased, it can be taken home immediately. This show is an excellent opportunity to start your own art collection, or acquire unique gift items for the holiday season.

The Providence Art Club was founded in 1880 to promote art culture in the City of Providence and beyond. It's one of the oldest arts organizations in the United States and the first organization of its kind to be jointly founded by men and women. The galleries of the Providence Art Club are always free and open to the public.

The Art Club is located at 11 Thomas Street on College Hill in a row of four picturesque historic buildings. The Club is just a five minute walk from Kennedy Plaza and the Providence Amtrak Station. Street parking is available nearby on North Main Street and Benefit Street.
