Earn Prizes At The Library This Summer!

Stories, songs, books, and toys for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers
Registration is not required.

RI Computer Museum presents Karaoke Coding – Rock On! @Weaver Library
Tuesday, July 10, 2:00-3:30, ages 7-9
Kids will use basic sound design programs to record and modify their voices, design a beat box, and create a dance routine for Ozobot.

Make & Shake Maracas Craft @Riverside Branch Library
Wednesday, July 11, 11:00-12:00, all ages
Use spoons, plastic eggs, and beads.

Polynesian Dance on the lawn @Weaver Library
Thursday, July 12, 3:00, all ages
Learn about Polynesian music, dance and culture. Watch Miss Lola dance, and learn to dance to songs from the movie Moana.
This program will move indoors in the case of rain.

Music & stories of pirates and the sea – lots of audience participation with kids playing in a pots and pans “fufu” band.

Gladys Cole presents Intro To Theater Class @Riverside Branch Library
Wednesday, July 18, 11:00-12:00, ages 5+
Kids will participate in theater and improv games and fun short scenes. Students will also have a chance to write their own short scene.

Teenagers will present short plays addressing important themes – self-acceptance, bullying, and more.

Painting Class For Kids @Riverside Branch Library
Wednesday, July 25, 11:00-12:00, ages 4+
Artist Rebecca Killian teaches, step by step, how to paint a specific painting on canvas. Rebecca also encourages “freestyling.”

Spread kindness by painting rocks and hiding them in the community. All supplies provided.

Reading aloud to therapy dogs can help children who struggle with reading.

Reading Buddies
The library matches volunteers, ages 13-adult, with elementary school children to read together for one hour each week at the library. For more information, call or stop into the Weaver Library (434-2453).

$$$ Read Down Your Fines $$$
Kids 18 and younger can “pay” their overdue fines by reading in the library. Just tell a librarian before you start reading, and when you finish reading, and we will waive $1 for every 30 minutes of reading.

Looking For A Tutor?
Check out our website to interact with a live tutor. “Tutor.com” tutors can help you with homework, studying for an exam, or understanding today’s lesson.
Math, Science, Social Studies, and English – all levels including AP.
Tutor.com tutors are available every day from 2:00pm-10:00pm.
