Jerome Beitz, 96, passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2019 at the Bethany Home. He was the husband of the late Alexandra (Proyous) Beitz.

Born in Brooklyn, New York he was a son of the late Joseph and Bertha (Levine) Beitz. Mr. Beitz was a clothing salesman for Sulka and Company in New York City before he retired. He also played the clarinet for the Providence Civic Orchestra of Senior Citizens and spent time in local nursing homes providing musical entertainment for the residents.

He leaves two daughters, Julie G. Beitz and her husband Gary M. Gensinger of Olney, Maryland and Diane M. Beitz of Huntington Beach, California and one grandson, Ariel Boehm.

His funeral will be held on Friday, September 20, 2019 at 9:00 AM from the Perry-McStay Funeral Home, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a service at 10:00 AM in the First Baptist Church in East Providence, 1400 Pawtucket Avenue, Rumford. Burial will be in Swan Point Cemetery. Calling hours Thursday 4-6.
