Hennessey Elementary News

Hennessey Heroes are wrapping up 2023 by showing our dedication and commitment to being Feinstein Junior Scholars and continuing to make the world a better place by helping others. We would like to thank the Hennessey Community for donating food items to our annual food drive. With the help of our Townie Food Pantry and the East Providence Police Department we were able to create many baskets for families in need.

We have a lot of fun activities scheduled for December. We have our first holiday shop, our annual winter bingo, our reptile show, and our annual spirit week with pajama day, Grinch day, holiday sweater day, and holiday accessories day! Davi, a second grader, says their favorite spirit day is Grinch Day because he loves the Grinch. Isla, a second grader, says her favorite is pajama day because she doesn’t have to get ready in the morning.

In December we also do our Ornaments for a Cause service project. Each class makes a signature ornament and then we will sell them, and all proceeds go to The Tomorrow Fund.

As the year comes to a close, we want to thank the students, families, staff and community members for their continued hard work and dedication each day. We know that if we continue to work together and support each other our students will succeed.
