Frank E. Titus, 87, retired broadcaster, who spent 50 years in the TV/radio business, died peacefully in his home on August 11, 2017. He was the devoted husband of Mary S. (Saieta) Titus for 66 yrs. A life-long Rumford resident, son of the late Frank E. and Maude M. (Russell) Titus, he was a graduate of East Providence High School Class of ’48 and a veteran of the Korean War, proudly serving in Germany with Armed Forces Network.

Frank was the loving dad of Cheryl A. Brodeur of Uxbridge, MA and Alan W. Titus of Rumford, loving grandpa of Alan R. Titus of Stuart, FL, great-grandpa of three boys and was pre-deceased by his brother Russell and an infant sister. He leaves behind four sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews. He served with the 43rd Division of the RI Nat’l Guard, was a long-time communicant of St. Margaret Church in Rumford, serving as usher and lector for many years, and was a Charter member of Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America. Frank was an Abraham Lincoln look-alike who performed at many local schools on President’s Day to the delight of many children.

His funeral will be held on Friday, August 18, 2017 at 9:00 AM from the Perry-McStay Funeral Home, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Margaret’s Church, 1098 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence. Burial with Military Honors will be in Mt. St. Mary’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Thursday from 4-7. In lieu of flowers contributions to St. Margaret’s Church or Hasbro Children’s Hospital would be appreciated.
