First Annual Yellow Perch Cocktail Party was a Success

Posted

Providence - The Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council (WRWC) hosted their first annual Yellow Perch Cocktail Party on Thursday, March 2, 2017, at Skyline at Waterplace, 1 Finance Way, Providence.

All of the guests who attended enjoyed the new Skyline at Waterplace, food by Russell Morin Catering and entertainment by the Antonio Forte Trio. Thanks to all in attendance, the WRWC raised $7,000, which will aid in the expansion of more programs to build stewardship of local parks, the Woonasquatucket Greenway Bike Path and the Woonasquatucket River, all of which provide fun, family time and better health for all.

“The WRWC is appreciative to all who came out or donated to the cause,” states Den DeMarinis, Director of Development. He went on to say, “It was a pleasure partnering with Skyline at Waterplace in presenting this inaugural event. Special thanks to Admirals Bank and Delin Design who were event sponsors.”

WRWC programs currently reach over 500 youth, foster young environmental leaders and draw more than 1,000 volunteers annually. Together they work to restore the Woonasquatucket River, expand the Greenway and help all residents, including wildlife, make the most of our precious spaces. They focus on areas in Providence and Johnston where industry has left its mark.
