Dorothy “Dottie” Antunes, 91, of Brightridge Avenue passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. She was the wife of the late Anthony Antunes, Sr. Born in East Providence, she was a daughter of the late Manuel and Filomena (Ferreira) DeFontes. Mrs. Antunes leaves two daughters, Sheila Lewis of East Providence and Kathleen “Kat” Neracker of New York, three sons, Anthony Antunes, Jr. of New Jersey, Robert Antunes of Scituate and Kevin Antunes of Woonsocket, nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Edward DeFontes, Capt. John DeFontes, E.P.F.D., Alice Sousa, Irene Sousa, Virginia Handfield, Philomena DeFontes, Elizabeth Walsh and Helen DeFontes. Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 10:00 AM in the Perry-McStay Funeral Home, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
