East Providence City Hall Thanksgiving Food Collection
Councilwoman Anna Sousa, will be hosting a Thanksgiving food drive with collection boxes located on each floor of City Hall. Nonperishable items and canned goods will be distributed to families in need in the East Providence community. The deadline to donate is Monday, November 18th. Notary Public Workshop Offered at East Providence City Hall
During the previous legislative session the General Assembly passed new rules governing Notary Publics. The new law will go into effect January 01, 2019 providing for clearer procedures and rules, access to modern notary tools and greater protections for notaries and consumers of their services.
The Office of the City Clerk will be hosting a Division of Notary Public informational Workshop in the Council Chambers on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at 10:00AM. Those who are a notary or who are thinking of becoming a notary may wish to attend. Topics to be covered in the workshop include: new requirements on notary stamps, embossing seals, qualification statements and electronic notarization.

This workshop is free and open to all city employees and the general public. For more information contact the City Clerk’s Office at 435-7596.
