Bay View Senior from Rehoboth Commits To NCAA Division 1 Colleges On National Signing Day

East Providence, RI - On November 13, 2019, St. Mary Academy – Bay View held the first of its annual athletic signing ceremonies, which saw three student-athletes sign National Letters of Intent, committing to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level.

Juliana Goncalves ’20, of Rehoboth, MA, signed to swim for the Providence College Friars, a Division 1 team in the Big East Conference. “As a swimmer, you just try to focus on the event that is taking place and hope all the hard work you put in will pay off,” said Goncalves. “I knew I wanted to swim at the collegiate level when I began high school swimming for Bay View—the ecstatic environment, the supportive team—it was like I was a part of another family. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to swim Division 1 for Providence College.”
