Barlow Aquatic Center Opens at Camp Ramsbottom

Boys & Girls Club of Pawtucket’s Camp Ramsbottom celebrates dedication and ribbon cutting of the Barlow Aquatic Center, gift of Edward “Ned” Barlow.

WHO: Club supporters, staff, friends, and family will attend the dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony of the Barlow Aquatic Center at Camp Ramsbottom, gift of Edward “Ned” Barlow. Ned’s family and friends will also attend the event.

WHAT: This event will honor Ned Barlow and celebrate his legacy. Ned was a longtime member of the Club’s Board of Directors and Board President for 20 years, deeply committed to the organization’s mission. Ned, who passed away in 2010, and his wife Eleanor, who passed away in 2016, left a $5.1 million gift to the Boys & Girls Club of Pawtucket. The Boys & Girls Club of Pawtucket’s Camp Ramsbottom will celebrate the grand opening and unveiling of its completely renovated pool, thanks to the Barlows’ generous bequest. Guests will also enjoy an open house and tours of Camp Ramsbottom.

The event is free and open to families.

WHEN:
Sunday, June 24, 2018. Dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony will begin at 12:30 p.m. There will also be a “ceremonial cannonball.” Open House will run from 12 – 3 p.m.

WHY: To honor Edward “Ned” Barlow and his extraordinary commitment to the Boys & Girls Club of Pawtucket and Camp Ramsbottom.
