Barbara J. Manning

Barbara J. Manning, 79, of Riverside, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2020 at the Orchard View Manor.

Born in East Providence, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Grace (Fife) Fisher. Mrs. Manning was a nurse’s aide at Evergreen House Health Center for three years and the former Nicholas Marra Nursing Home, now the Orchard View Manor, for six years before she retired. She previously worked for the Catamore Jewelry Company. She was a longtime member of the Riverside Congregational Church and was also a member of the East Providence Senior Center. Mrs. Manning enjoyed bowling and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan. Above all else, she loved her family. Spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren was her biggest enjoyment.

She leaves four children, Debra Francis and her husband Robert of Riverside, Charles Manning, Jr of Riverside, James Manning of Laconia, New Hampshire and Kevin Manning of Riverside, eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Evelyn Fisher, Hazel Powers, Betty Lindenmier, Mary Josephson, Doris Souza, Marjorie Harter, James Fisher, John Fisher and Thomas Fisher.
