April Teen Programs at EP Libraries

Robots On The Run @ Riverside
Using basic circuits, learn how to build a simple robot, programmable electronics, and more! Presented by the Rhode Island Computer Museum. Please call 401-433-4877 to register.

Led Windmills @ Weaver
Presented by Greening the Sphere, this workshop will teach you about wind energy as a clean alternative energy source, and show you how to harness it by making a mini windmill that lights up a small LED light. Please call 401-434-2453 to register.

Board Game Workshop (Part 2) @ Fuller Creative Learning Center
We will expand and complete the original game that we began creating in part one of this workshop.

Thursday, April 19th, 2:30-4pm

Community Service Night @ Weaver
This monthly event will allow you to earn community service hours for meeting with the Teen Librarian to discuss what is new at school and which programs/materials/services you would like to see provided by the library. We may also work on other service activities.
Snacks will be provided! No registration necessary.
Tuesday, April 24th, 5:30-7:30pm. For ages 13+

Looking For a Tutor?
Check out our website to interact with a live tutor. Live Homework Help tutors can help you with homework, studying for an exam, or understanding today’s lesson. Math, Science, Social Studies, and English – all levels including AP. Tutors are available every day from 2pm until 10pm.

Volunteer To Be a Reading Buddy @ Weaver Library
The library will match you with an elementary school child to read together for one hour each week at the library. For more information, call the Weaver Library at 434-2453 or ask about it in the Children’s room.

Read Down Your Fines @ Weaver and Riverside
Youth 16 and under can reduce their overdue fines by reading in the library. Tell a librarian when you start reading. 30 minutes of reading = $1 waived.
