A Special Request from the 8th Grade Cadette Girl Scouts in Troop 247

Posted

To welcome the students back to Beckwith Middle School with some incentives of potentially fun ways to be active, the troop would like to collect your NEW or Lightly Used outdoor games. These games may be used briefly by students during any future free times outside (like after their lunch) this upcoming school year.
These donations will be given to the school on behalf of their GS Silver Award project for outdoor enrichment areas at Beckwith Middle School. There will be a collection box outside of the office for students to drop-off their donations before school, so this is the perfect opportunity to go through your unused outdoor games or find new end-of-the-season sales.
The following items are requested in bulk amounts, so they may be shared more fairly: Many tennis balls, medium or large (Nerf-styled or rubber) balls, soccer balls, basketballs, footballs, frisbees, lots of hula hoops, jump ropes (single & large sizes for groups), etc. Other types of outdoor games that students in grades 5-8 may enjoy, too, are welcome if it can easily disassemble for indoor storage include Jengas, Twister, Checkers, Chess, Corn Hole sets, Putting Greens, etc.
Please email Troop Leader, Mrs. Blackwell, at Carol-Anne@Comcast.net with project questions or other donations.
