Seekonk Senior Center to Remain Open
The Seekonk Senior Center will remain open despite the outbreak of the coronavirus.
“(Seniors) can still do what they normally do, but there won’t be any exercise activities, no card games, no bingo.” Town Administrator Shawn Cadime said Thursday at the board of selectmen meeting.
“We’re really trying to limit a lot of that interaction and any activities that may have some direct contact with other individuals,” Cadime explained.
However, all town-sponsored activities at the senior center will be cancelled due to health concerns.
Cadime said he would be monitoring the coronavirus situation and would provide updates on changes to town services. There are no reported cases of the coronavirus in Bristol County or in Seekonk, he added.
