Kiwanis of Seekonk Scholarships 2018

The Kiwanis of Greater Seekonk presented 2 scholarships to graduating seniors of the Seekonk High School at Class Night. They were named for the founder Morris Goldberg who encouraged members of the value of community service, one of the goals of Kiwanis.

Hannah Hendricks was recognized for her 100 hours of community service as a member of the Key Club, a branch of Kiwanis. She was also active in the science club, the Spanish club, the student council, SADD, SPEAK and a member of the National Honor Society and the Spanish Honor Society. To continue working with people in hands on activities, she has enrolled in Roger Williams University to pursue a career in public health.

Hayley Bartlett completed 100 hours of community service as a member of the Key Club. She was active in the science club, the Spanish Club, SADD and SPEAK and a member of the National Honor Society and the Spanish Honor Society and received awards in Education Excellence and volleyball. To become a writer or teacher to help create something of value to inspire others to improve the world, she will continue her education at UMASS Boston.
