MEDFIELD, MA - Jacob Ventura, Republican State Senate candidate for the vacant Bristol and Norfolk seat, has received key support in the northern part of the district with the endorsement of State Representative Shawn Dooley (R-Norfolk). Representative Dooley serves the 9th Norfolk District including Walpole, Millis, Wrentham, Plainville, Norfolk, and parts of Medfield.

“Jacob Ventura is a rising star who will be an amazing Senator. His passion and tenacity for helping constituents demonstrates his deep understanding of public service. Jacob is clearly the strongest candidate in the Republican field to win the general election and represent the district on Beacon Hill,” Dooley stated.

Said Ventura, “Representative Dooley has a record of standing up and fighting for the taxpayers of our region while shaking up the status quo on Beacon Hill. I am truly honored to have his endorsement and support in the northern part of this district (Medfield and Walpole).”

Bristol County Sheriff Thomas Hodgson and State Representative Steven S. Howitt (R-Seekonk) have also endorsed Ventura’s candidacy for State Senate.

Jacob Ventura, an attorney and current legislative aide for State Representative Steven S. Howitt (R-Seekonk), is running in the September 19 Republican primary to succeed former State Senator James E. Timilty (D-Walpole). Jacob is a member of the Wampanoag Aquinnah Tribe with Portuguese and Cape Verdean heritage. Jacob graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Finance at UMass Dartmouth in 2009 and holds a Juris Doctorate from Washington and Lee University School of Law in 2016.
