“Howdy-Howdy” Florence Amelia. “Butterfly” Barao, 85, of North Wheaton Avenue, Seekonk, where she lived nearly her entire life, passed away Saturday May 27, 2017 at the Evergreen Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Gilbert T. Barao. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late John and Maude (White) Lowell. Mrs. Barao worked for Wendy’s for many years before retiring. She loved to play cards and was the queen of Hi-Lo Jack. She was a kind person who always had a smile on her face, loved to laugh and brought joy to others. She was a very special woman, who loved her home, was a loyal wife, a wonderful mother, grandmother, friend and neighbor who loved her entire family with all her heart. She enjoyed tea and country music. She will be forever missed but never forgotten. Mrs. Barao loved Vermont and was a sexy senior citizen. “Go with the Flow”. She leaves three daughters, Judy Marie Wright of Warren, Janice May Ridondo of Las Vegas and Linda Jean Stewart of Catawba, S.C., one son, Gilbert T. Barao, Jr. of Riverside, eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and her kitty, Oliver. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM in the Perry-McStay Funeral Home, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence. Burial will be in Thomas Cemetery, Swansea, MA. Calling hours Tuesday 4-7.
