Angels’ Care Closet, Inc. Receives Proceeds from “Lovely Ladies” Team of Community Mask Makers

Posted

From March through mid-May, a team of community members joined efforts to sew masks for medical and essential workers, nursing homes, Seekonk seniors, residents, and other vulnerable facilities. Backed by enormous support of the community who donated fabric, elastic(s), bags, hand sanitizer and other assorted organizing and transportation help – the team donated approximately 3,000 masks to the community.

Angels’ Care Closet, Inc. received over $ 1,500 in donations from mask recipients and additional donors. Those donations are being used to help fund our Community Bag Give Back Event March 23, in Briarwood Plaza and to support our other programs.

Angels’ Care Closet would like the mask making organizer and main contact Mrs. Diane Johnson, as well as the team of “Lovely Ladies” Melissa, Alcina, Debra, Diana, Helen, Jo-Ann, Kerri, Lynn, Maureen, Gin, Lorrie, Nancy, Patti, Laura, Janet, and Florence and all those who donated, helped transport supplies and masks, shared our posts and showed appreciation for the team.
