Seekonk Meadows 3rd Annual Summer Celebration a Success!

Seekonk, MA June 27, 2014 - On Saturday afternoon, June 21, over 300 people gathered to participate in the third annual Seekonk Meadows Summer Celebration on the 9 acre site at the Seekonk Library. Art work was on display in the meeting room of the library and there were artist exhibits in the meadows, a Seekonk Gardeners information table, a Seekonk library information table, and a children’s story time presented by the Audubon Society. Participants also enjoyed free popcorn, kite making, kite flying and a full roster of musical performances on the amphitheater stage.

Seekonk Meadows has been open now for two years and provides a wonderful family resource for the Seekonk community. Please take the time to visit the library and the Meadows often. The funding for Seekonk Meadows has been raised entirely by private donations. Gifts can be made payable to the Seekonk Library Trust with a memo line designating the Seekonk Meadows project and sent to the Seekonk Public Library, 410 Newman Avenue, Seekonk, MA 02771.
